ahh awsome the flights are well cheap.

Just need too hook up with some guys going from the UK and sort out getting from Gothenburg too The Joycamp.

Hows everyone else doing it? Renting a car for one could work out rather pricey and as this is on a budget for me anyone wanna jump in and share costs or anyone got plans i could jump in on and pay my share?

or is there a direct train route or bus anyone knows of?

Last year, we got the plane from manchester to Gothenburg. Cost us about £220!!!

From the airport, we got a bus to the train station. We got a train from gothenburg into varbreg, and taxi from varberg train station to our hotel campsite thing. It was an expensive weekend so be prepared!

Food isnt cheap out there neither, but we bought beer from Dragonn (the owner of the site) for a pretty descent price!

If you are enough people sharing it probably will work out best simply renting a car - and easier !

BUT if you plan on taking the train to Varberg I bet you can have some of the nice locals picking you up, if you "book" in well in advance.

As for beers well it´s up to Magued & Co (and Dragan), but seeing as some danes are coming over for the weekend you might very well be able to buy some pretty cheep beers off of them - Magued ? ;)

ryanair is easily the cheapest, just whatch out for the luggage allowance smallprint. we are working it so we take no luggage apart from one'sports equipment' bag, works out a whole lot cheaper than paying all the excess baggage you would get trying to take all your gear in a normal suitcase!

Ryanair is the only company to fly to gothenburg city from the UK I believe (we're going from Stansted). Got our flights (return) for about £80 with all fees so not bad. We've got a Hotel :D
we are too, flying out on the 27th flight number 964, what are you on? :D
also that is cheaper than ours. what baggage have you booked? you have to watch out as its £12 PER KILO  excess baggage. and apparently they wont let you take a marker as normal luggage, has to be sports equipment:rolleyes:

Flights 133quid all in (incl. credit card charge )
