paintball history

hello,
right guys i have to write a 20 page essa on any sport.
and i'm obviously gonna do it about paintball
well anyway i've googled history of paintball and looked on wikipedia and i've got some usfule info but i cant finsd the date it started.
so can you guys give me the most info you know about the history of paintball and how it has evolved over the years.
and becaus i didnt play many many years ago do you guys know the types of markers they used?
and also it needs to involve a famous person. so i was thinking of ollie lang or matty marshal but i cant seem to find info about any of them

so any help will be greatly appreciated.

but like in the first post this essa needs to be 20 pages A4.
so that ill be good as an introduction but ill need info on famous players and their stories and things like that.
also the guns used back then. need help with that too

You may be right Paul, but it looks like he wants everyone to do the research for him.
A quick question for leads is fine, after that its going to be a copy and paste essay and he learns what by that!
