erm... so far since last summer... i've played in 2 different sorts of walking boots, football boots, sports/running trainers and i think vans or something similar....

as ^^ says really depends on what you are playing, and even more importantly... what you are playing on/in

I use football boots for sup'air and am really glad of the extra grip for the breakout. If you go that route make sure you get boots with PLASTIC studs, as metal studs are illegal (never had mine checked, but better safe than sorry). For woodsball I use heavy uncomfortable army boots, because I'm hard :p

and that is what is partually wrong with the rules, metal spikes should be banned obviously. Metal studs in my opinion shouldnt be banned they are safer than football boots with plastic studs which have been worn for a while.

While playing rugby we had to wear metal studs as they didnt "mushroom" like plastic studs did and wouldnt rip your back own while rucking :D

blades is what i wear and have never had a problem, good grip, were fine on both grass and turf at campaign last year.
