I would like to put that in my sig, but I don't seem to have one.
I would say, that my particular level of humour or subjects I may choose to discuss, is not something I feel as inappropriate.
Usually, I do not use coarse terms, or gutter style innuendo. Generally, it is slightly higher brow.
I have, obviously made inappropriate comments, but these are usually pointed out for me and then changed.
Anyway. Russ. Your Avatar is not inappropriate. We are not in a forum that is designed for under age people, therefore any such person or the person who is responsible for them, should accept this.
It is not Pornographic, so that is not an argument that can be levelled at you.
The naked body is not a sexual image as such.

If you had a large, open, moist vagina as your avatar, (certainly a creampie shot) then potentially that could be deemed inappropriate as it conveys a sexual image. As would a steaming 8 inch JTD1993, as this IS deemed pornographic along with any form of penetration.
Would this forum member, deem it inappropriate for his child to see his wife/girlfriend's breasts, when she was kneeling on the bed and getting changed? Would he then berate, said female for it?
I would hope not.
While I firmly agree, that children do need to be protected from certain aspects of adulthood, society and the Internet. Nudity is not something I would say, is a problem.
I don't worry if my kids (eldest is 11 year old girl) see me naked. Obviously, there are certain times when I WILL hide my immodesty, usually first thing in the morning, as children are easily scared by such enormous things and rightly so.
It is just a way of causing problems for a child in later life. Teaching them that Nudity is wrong, sex is dirty, masturbation is a sin and so on, can do a great deal of harm to them in their future life and relationships.
It is a form of prejudice...then they wonder why the child ends up Homosexual (not insinuating that Homosexuality is always caused in this way but something similar caused a close friend to have years of difficulty with boys before she chose women instead), or afraid of women etc.
So no, it's not inappropriate and though I am sure you won't, you should not let it concern you.

As an aside, I agree with what Skeet said about exposing children to nudity (I do it regularly
) and how society's norms can cause problems in later life. Unfortunately, society is an external force which we can't modify by our ideals, and as such we must respect it and conform to it unless we want to cause ourselves trouble. I personally think the female body is a beautiful thing even outside sexual context, but, as I said before, if we all decided to show our appreciation in the form of nude avatars it wouldn't go down so well. We want to help young guys who are getting into the sport and if their parents object to our avatars we aren't doing them any favours by having them. Hell, it's just an avatar. Morally it's no big issue (to my mind anyway), but practically if someone is offended then why not change it? My 2pEDIT: my "aside" turned into a rant....oops
