Sponsor Advertising

I'm all for Companies advertising on forum's and I understand the whole concept about sponsors and business's advertising on the site and this is not a criticism at all, but does the new advertising logo on the right of the page annoy anyone with all the flashing. I can see it's designed to catch your eye and it works. I find it very annoying and I'm just wondering is it me or has anybody else found it a bit off putting.
I dont want to get into a debate about it, just wondering if anyone was of the same opinion

Ye it is a tad annoying... pushed the entire forums to the left

perhaps put on of both sides to balance the forum bck out :!

It annoys the crap out of me, not the advert but the flashing is extremely irritating.
But small price to pay for what the forum offers.

It's nothing whatsoever against the forum or the advertisers but like you have said, it's the flashing. I keep getting flash backs from when I was in Kosovo lol

yeah lee can honestly say that it is well off putting even when reading this thread i had to read the words in front of me a lot more carfuly incase i miss read anything dont like it, oh well

Yeah, tis a bit distracting. For some reason I feel like I wouldn't mind it as much if it were on the left. I have no idea why, but it seems like that would "feel" better.

i find it funny that a bit of coding could have made it more annoying and made the sponser follow you as you scroll down the page, also, i believe that most people look at the left side of the screen more than the right, so to really grab peoples attention they should put it on the left. Final thought, this was discussed when the welt ad went up, and was praised when the add went away

The sheer fact you comment that an advert is annoying proves that said advert serves atleast half its purpose; you have recognised it enough to make a complaint
