couple of X7 + Egrip issues ?

ok upgraded me x7 with the Egrip and it is set at 20bps, seems to be destroying paint, is there anything else i have to set other than the ROF when going to this speed, i know folk are running consistent 24BPS with them now so surely 20 is do-able ? has anyone else found that the X7 is unusually loud when firing ? I used to have an ego which was fairley quiet ! is this normal ? iam running PMI 800 psi system (5k preset reg)

am i expecting too much from my X7 ? just sounds like a shotgun going off as all.

Never owned a Tippy but I would have thought there is a little bit more involved than just slapping an e-grip on and upping the rof to silly levels?

The tippman is essentialy a blowback so will have quite a lot of noise / kick.

doesnt have eyes either does it, at such high rates of fire chopping would be an issue if eyes arent present

the hopper is gas fed dunno if this comes into any worings out, but it auto cycles every time the bolt comes back i am at a total loss, me ego was so simplistic

With the cyclone system you shouldnt need eyes however i think at 20 bps there maybe an issue with sufficient gas to recock the gun and to turn the cyclone.. tippys/blowback in general are not known for gentleness on paint, have you considered slowing it down a bit to zsee if its ROF thats causing the problem

Why the flying **** you using a tippy then mucka

try it at a slower speed just to see if it cuts the chopping down... then speed it up and see what the crack is, where it starts chopping etc

i think your getting insufficient air personally, if you say these x7s are capable of that kinda speed and its full auto'ing at 20 then id say theres something suffocating the gun

look on pbnation see if there is anything you need to do to help it cycle at that speed

scenario ball mate ! peeps faces would drop on the floor if i turn up with the red rocket ! i got me tippy done like MP5 SD (ala navy seals) just a laugh really some of the carrots are doing scenario stuff now. got all the tackleberry shizzle vests made a ghillie suit etc etc (Oh dear)

i have joined that forum Oily cheers. it would appear from reading the threads, that although tippman advertise 20 - 24 bps you cant realistically do it outta the box. you need to mod the ball detent, and put squishy paddels in the cyclone feeder plus a few other mods. good news is the UPS for these gats are stupid cheap so i will up the heck outa the gun. daft thing is i was trying to steer away from performance markers just seem to have been really spoilt by the Ego i guess, its a case of expect nothing less.

Hows the bike Scars ? killed anymore wheels ? i miss it so much now that fuel prices are soaring again ! £1.50 / lt of diesel soon folks ! (i do digress iam sorry)

Lol i ended up selling it about 5 months after i got it off you for something more downhill friendly

shame was a damn nice bike

but back balling again now, missed it too much
