Hey!

I recently installed the Redz Ion bodykit onto my SP Ion. However, after I put it all on, and was sticking it back together, the small black screw inside the barrell (one of 3 that hold the frame and the body together) didn't go in properly. The hole in the barrell had a piece of red plastic half in the way. I managed to put the screw in and screw it all together anyway, but I was wondering if I put it back together wrong or something.

Also, above the LED a bit of light is coming out from the gap in the bodykit at the top of the frame. All the screws are done up fully. Is this normal?

Thanks.

Could be that if you have put the bolt stop on the wrong way round the breech and fire chamber would not screw back together properly which would mean the screw holes wouldn’t line up properly.

the gap could be to do with the body not lining up property or you may have eye wire caught in between the frame and the body, or the tubes inside are not seated in the frame properly.

Ok, i'll take it apart again, and try to fix it. I think the breech and the firechamber screwed back togther ok, but I can't be certain. Also, I have taken apart the firechamber before, but after I did that I put the stock bodykit back on (this was before I had a different one), and everything lined up perfectly. Later on, I swapped the bodykit for the redz one (without taking apart the firechamber) and put the gun back together. So I don't think it can be the bolt stop on backwards...

Yo, where did you get your kit from? I had to get it directly from Redz

Yep same got it from Redz. Ok, I took it all apart. The bolt stop is now in the right way (no idea if it wasn't before), but I still have the LED showing. Do you get that Karma?

sometimes you have to file down the front screw hole on the bodies for ions. i think it s quite common. well my mate did anyway. this makes it fit on more snug. maybe that could be your trouble. i might be totally wrong. answer me this. if you hold the gat with the barrel pointing towards you does the screw diagonally fit in pointing away. if that makes sense lol

Hi Dom, I have heard this quite a few times before, it could just be that you got a slightly misshaped body kit. Jut file down the plastic that is in the way of the screw In the breech so that the screw fits in properly
