are the epiphanys the same as ions. you have to take the whole frame apart to get to the bolt? yeah its not hard but if you have an absolute noob that hasnt took anything apart then there is a good chance that a wire will be pinched get caught or snap as they wont know what they are doing! its hard not to snap a wire especially when your new. i did my battery harness. so i would suggest pmr again as you dont need to go through the frame lol

Yeh, the epiphany has the exact same layout inside,
all an epiphany is, is a upgraded ion with a heaver frame.

I think PMR is the better of options unless your going to chuck it around and not maintain it.

i'd go proto mate, by far a million time better made than the epithany

The LE includes a few upgrades over the stock proto, there not necessary upgrades but they are upgrades that most people do to the proto when they get it, you decide whether its worth it or not

and just to clear a few things up from posts above, the proto 1 piece barrel is a sweet barrel, i used one on my PM5... there are no advantages having a 2 piece barrel unless you intend buying more backs

scars is right the stock barrel is sweet. i have a dye ultralight and it customizes the gun with the olive front to match the body. it also makes a difference in acuracy at longer range because the longer the barrel the higher the velocity. it isnt needed but does help you out a little bit!

Just bought myself an le pmr to return to the game after not playing for 3-4 years, managed to pick up an ultralite frame dirt cheap off ebay too, scary how good these markers are for the cost compared to what i paid for an E1 cocker.

For the extra the le pmr is worth while i'd say, as it is likely you'll upgrade all the bits the that have been done on the le anyway.

As a side question what is the bore size of the 2 piece barrel that comes with the le?

i got the pmr, i was in the same situation as you..
you get a better barrel with the epiphany.. but as i had 2 barrel kits floating around i chose the pmr because of how easy the bolt comes out, how light it is and i'd heard it rips.

wich it does, considering its so cheap.

i havnt had any problems yet with the pmr, that wernt down do my clumsiness

i didnt really like the stock trigger but i found a UL trigger floating around a shop for £9 (bargain eh)

timmay a wild shot in the dark, .691 is normally stock for most?

hope you make the right choice, try go to an event and shoot them? then you can deffinately make up your mind.
