Hi, looking for a new mid range marker and I can't decide between the rail and the epiphany now the epiphanys dropped to £150. Is the PMR better and is the special edition PMR that much better than the normal one to warrant the extra cash?
cheers

If you looking at a smart parts epiphany, why not look at a ion xe?

newer, good value for money, bob, and i think it rocks.

Yeah i've also got that problem lol. I'm probably going to get the PMR, seeing as they're
both evenly matched, I think the PMR looks more beautiful :p

the only thing the le pmr has is the aluminium trigger, trigger guard, back cap and i think it comes with a qlock. none of this is needed but is a great extra. if you brought it after market value it will cost you more but its a great gun without these extras. the only thing i changed is the trigger because there was too much grip on it as it is plastic with rubber bits on it. as for the smart parts epiphany i was going to buy one as a back up to my pmr :p they look good but i dont think they perform as good as a pmr. hope i have helped.

just remembered you get a two piece barrel with the le pmr :D

PMR's

Good
- lighter
- better trigger
- smaller

Bad
- requires lots of maintenance

Epiphany

Good
- Looks nice
- Hard to brake
- Easy to fix
- Easy / cheep(er) to upgrade

Bad
- Takes while to maintain (8-10mins to get it apart and back together)
- Heavy

(This is all mainly opinion)

nah, with the LE pmr you get a 2 peice proto barrel, a stock 1 peice for the normal pmr.

I own a pmr, and it is great! ok, so admittedly yeah, theres some bad bits but thats mainlyfrom me accidently snapping battery harnesses but usually just do the normal maintenance (luing and cleaning after every time you play) but it rips.

From what ive see of the epiphany its pretty heavy, not as fast as the pmr, hard to do maintenance ... AND you don't get the great customer service that dye and proto giv you!:)
Hope it helps:p

as nial said with the LE pmr you do get the pmr which is what i stated but with the standard pmr you do only get a one piece. mine is chocolate brown coloured now after being baked :D

so i wasnt wrong jakey :D

yeah the pmr does need maintenance but not the whole thing you dont need to take it all apart. the bolt comes out easy and then the hyper2. easy stuff great marker

Its not hard to maintain, its very easy. It just very time consuming compared to the PMR,
