As we've obviously evolved, what was there first.?

If you would all like some information on origins i suggest you click the link and you will find answers to your questions http://www.answersingenesis.org/

The link to that page was all I needed to guess the tone of that website!

LOL! Bless them, poor souls. No problem with their faith, but fact is fact.

The only way that "God", was responsible for the Earth and life on it, is if the book called "Was God an Astronaut?" has any bearing...but even that book, does not mention his incredible teraforming abilities:D

I believe that there is other life, and other planets supporting life. But the question is, have they evolved the same as us, do they even need the same basics to life as us?
We can only presume, that Carbon based species, need the same things as us to survive. The unknown is just that, so we cannot make presumptions about forms of life that are totally different to ours.

Hence, an atmosphere, water, oxygen and no extremes of temperatures, is what we would base our assumptions and investigations on.

just interpreted 2 different ways.
Possibly, but it does suggest that the Big Bang did happen as we percieve, but importantly, that God, was at the centre of it and caused it.

"God" in any civilisation, is just the word used to pin events on that we cannot understand.
If you need your crops to be bountiful, then you try and do things which you think might please the unexplainable force of nature. Much the same as I do good deeds, in the hope that good deeds will be done "unto" me:D

The problem part is Religion, whereby the learned, use "God" as a means to control the population.
Hence why I used the term "Churchianity", The Church, aspects of The Holy Bible and it's controlling nature, with which I have issues, rather than Christianity, the belief of the existence of Christ.

Absolutely possible. (It's very sad that I know this) but recently a compound with the exact chemical properties of 'Kryptonite' was discovered but the boring buggers called it 'Jadarite'. (Found in Jadar)

So the possibilities of what we still have not found are endless.
Thus making possibilities of what exists on other planets absolutely unlimited.

Quite right...I am sure there are many.

Part of the reason I believe that, is due to what I mentioned earlier about the strategic position of Earth, in relation to the Sun and how that exact placement, means it is able to support Liquid water and mild extremes of temperature.

In the same way that a Fractioning column allows the different components of crude oil, to cool at different temperatures, it may be that certain chemicals etc, are only available at higher or lower temperatures, than we have on Earth, ergo, these elements never reached us or passed us by.

It is likely, that we could only find these elements, after they have combined with others in a Meteor, Comet etc.

Maybe...
