7 Man Tournament - Blackpool beach?

- An area where people passing bye or spectators new to the sport can give it a go (i.e kids, teenagers, everyone!). Supplying a marker, mask and clothing/overalls to let them give it a go and get new people involved in the sport. With signs pointing the way/advertising it. Get people more interested in it!

- Decent seating for spectators

- Commentating

- Booths from dealers such as Eclipse and others

- Decent food and refreshments

- Music playing inbetween games, settle the mood a little

If you pull this off this could be great for UK ball. An event where everyone knows, can enjoy themselves while there and more importantly I reckon the public interest would/could be pretty high (depending on the actual location).

2. insurance wouldnt allow randomers to handle paintball equipment.....

Was thinking along the lines of a clinic hosted by a semi/pro team for the day before/after the event(like the super 4 series are doing, if people wanted can book a hotel for the weekend, clinic saturday, play sunday kind of thing).

Never thought about the insurance part, was just coming up with ideas of the top of my head to get people more interested into ball in general. But if this happens, im hoping the public interest raises.

I think that people are taking their eye of the ball this was meant to be a paintball tournament surely its best kept that way i mean the public will for sure come over and want to know more but then they can speak to the trader's and player ?

Thats what I was hoping you know, if its in a fairly decent location, people are bound to come down and have a look. Maybe talk to some of the players, stands etc... Of course its a paintball tournament and at the end of the day this is the main focus, I was just thinking about the potential interest.

(just ignore my previous comment about people giving it a go, I've seen its not exactly a good idea anymore)

Junior tournaments??? Just an idea but maybe teams of youthful players in a league to see how they get on and spot new talent?

this would be awsome if it went ahead.. if it is to do, maybe have a league like KOTH at UKM.. so scenario and new teams can also have a good chance at giving it a decent go.
