it shouldent realy be that stiff are you shore you have taken the grub screw out?
The tiny tiny tiny black screw like thing off of the top of the trigger when removed you can see the pin? Yeah I have, and its still really stiff, and the allen heads near my asa are practically stripped aswell, I think a new star frame is needed to be honest :p

what i did with mine when it got stuck was take my allen key (i have the screwdriver type) and used it as a small punch to drive the pin out

They shouldnt get that stuck to be honest, but if it has rusted they can become wedged in there

As for the 'allen heads near the asa' being stripped, do you mean the ones you tighten up to hold your ASA in place on the dovetail. I am pretty sure they can be bought as replacements and come in the comprehensive kit

to take it out without the risk of sctacthin your frame
take the frame compleastly off your gat then you wil see a small grub screw ontop of your trigger loosen this all the way and your trigger pin sould come out with a sligth tap

I think it has rusted, as the other side looks abit orange, could just be old paint, i've used full weight on it, and my dad took a smaller hammer to a small screwdriver thing, snapped the screwdriver, then again the body of it was plastic :p
I think im going to have to get a new star frame to fix this to be honest :(!

And yeah the allen head's are stripped, so im unable to get them out, what would be the best way to get them out? glue a allen key in there and just move it out, and then get a comprehensive kit and use that?

Your problem, is that it is a Roller bearing trigger.

The pin is designed to fit tight in the roller, so that the trigger swivels around the bearing, not the pin in the hole, so both will be tight.

Take the board etc out and bung it in the freezer and see if that helps contract the pin. If not, warm it back up again then pour boiling water over it, slowly for a few minutes, maybe two kettles worth, then carefully...put on a hard surface, with space underneath for the pin and wack it out with a drift and a hammer, or Eblade like I once used.

ALSO...look at both sides of the pin. If one side fits the hole better than the other, then it is a directional pin. Very likely.

The pic seems to show the right side of the frame, and the pin is bevelled, so I would say that you should hit it from that side, so the pin exits from the left hand side.

Got a pic of the other side?

Not at the moment, but i'll try get another one whenever I can, but surely putting it in the freezer then putting boiling water on it wouldnt be good, as its contracting then expading quickly, possibly messing up the aluminium?

Or do you mean let it warm up again, THEN pour the water?

Of course that's what I meant and even, exactly what I said:D.... maybe I wasn't clear enough, sorry.

Anyway, it's defo the fact that it is a roller bearing trigger.

Have a look at both sides of the pin, I would think they are different as described above.

They are ever so slightly different as on the left side, its sticking out like a mm more than on the right. Hmm, might try the freezer idea and then bash it out, if that doesnt work, i'll probably leave it to Nige :D

And I probably misread it aswell, thinking you said warm it back up with 2 kettles worth Haha :p

That is because it is wider, usually with grooves on. So the pin wont turn in the frame, the bearing is tight on the pin and the trigger swings smooth on the bearing.
