PM7 refuses to fire

Basically I turn it on, air it up and it won't fire. Although there was air getting to the bolt. I got Syd (NSPL organiser who is a trained Dye tech) to look at it sunday and even he was stumped.

He did note though:

1. He has changed every one of the o-rings on the bolt that he feels could be causing it to not fire
2. Air is getting to the bolt but the bolt is pushing forward in the chamber which seems to indicate to him that there is a possible leak somewhere
3. The solenoid is working
4. Syd replaced the regulator to check and see if it was that but still had the same problem.
5. Every time Syd pushed the bolt back with his finger it would push forward again.
6. Yes it has a brand new battery in. (Tried several, all lights come on and work it just won't fire.)

This is a problem that worsened over time. It started off with it only giving a feeble pfft pfft sound when you first aired up and fired it for the first few shots, then like a cold car engine it would gather steam and work ok so long as the air remained attached and it wasn't de-aired. Then as time went by it would be longer and longer to start, until the first 10,20,30,40 trigger pulls wouldn't give any indication that air was getting to the bolt.

Its now refusing to fire at all.

Any idea's anyone ? I've sent an email to Ash at Dye but he's out of the office until thursday.

Mooching round the 50, with the flag
overpressured / knackered lpr. I used to get some crazy bolt stick on my dm3 but after stripping and cleaning the lpr it's been fine, not sure if your PM7 is using a similar process/system but it might be worth a look.

OMG, thas was perfectly working gun!!!

It seems that air from LPR is pushing bolt forward and not back. Probably O-ring problem, but if Syd changed all of it, it is a mystery.
You've cursed it Tom lol You put some bad mojo on it so it would only work for you lol

That was something that Syd didn't look at and I did partially dismantle it last time I cleaned it but it had been getting worse then stopped firing completely before I partially stripped and cleaned the lpr.

Did you put the shim stack back the right way?

It is definitely LPR problem, as that is what is moving the bolt.
Are you coming to UKM South on Sunday, I can have a look at it there.
I never took the stack out. Just the front end of the lpr, gave it a quick clean and thats it. I'll take a look tonight though when I get home and full on dismantling the lpr. :)
