hey guys,

am just trying to get used to my new reloaderB2, and already theres a new empire loder out.

well i havea few questions regarding my marker and the new upgrades for the loaders here goes;

1) Would the new clutch system make a big difference for casual players?
2) Is it worth buying the magna drive board and RF transmitter?
3) Would the SLG proto 08 work with the RF upgrade?
Ow and yes, has anyone have these new products if so what's your experience with them so far?

Thanks in advance

1, Of course not but the hype will convince others to "get the new gear"

2, Did your hopper work fine last month before you knew about this...... Well there you go then :)

3a, No idea but would be surprised if any new gun did not.

3b, I am still using a steam powered hopper and its plenty fast enough especially using a modern gun and the reduction of the bps cap.

Gotta agree with Russ, if it aint broke don't buy a new one
The cost of a new one could cost you at least 2 boxes of paint

I have the new Magna Loader simply as i needed a hopper and they were out. If i have the choice now i would go back to a reloader any day

Easy to strip, mounted further forward and does the job just as well

You wont see anything new with the clutch, except a load of bloody magnets stuck together everytime you try to clean it

sounds like the new magna is just a piece of marketing :s and good for those with big wallets :s

shame really coz it looked promising, so it is safe to say that if i wanted to get an upgrade for the hopper just get the magnet kit and maybe al get a boost in performance!? i mean from the looks of it its the only difference.

Thanks for the replies btw guys appreciate it!

in all fairness the B2 has been out a while, and the reloader before that ihad been out over 2 years before the B2 showed its face, which i dont think is too bad consdering Dye and planet bring new kits out without fail every 12 months

I talked to someone who has seen the magna drive and they have said that it is brilliant, the main area it'll help with when shooting uber brittle paint.

If you're going to be shooting the brittlest paint you can lay your grubby hands on I would suggest getting one.

I'm going to get my B2 upgraded rather than buying the whole hopper, it'll be cheaper and you can avoid any feedneck location issues you might have .

that's exactly what i was goign to be doing tbh, i don't have enough cash to fund a new drive now tbh...i bought a new reloaderB and in all honesty am happy with it..the clutch is the only thing that actually looks tempting..

but i guess we see how it goes thanks for the help and adive again guys ^^<

I'm sorry you feel that way. From all our testing and development work the Magna Clutch has been one of the best things to happen to the loader market in ages.

Just recently we were shooting ultra evil that we'd been keeping in the fridge. it would break when dropped from 12" and we had to be very careful just pouring it into the loader.

We were able to shoot it out the loader and an Ego 07 without breaking a ball.

Now for some people that won't matter, but for those that play tournaments or sometimes find themselves shooting crappy paint, or playing in really cold weather etc.... it's a phenomenal advantage.

Infamous won the Boston NPPL event with paint that would break every time from 3-4 feet. They didn't break a single ball in any of the loaders equipped with the Magna clutch.

At World Cup some teams were having trouble with breaking paint in the loader. One guy bought a magna drive loader, didn't break a single ball while the rest of his team had issues, and the next day his whole team walked in and bought loaders and clutch upgrade kits.

The split design for the drive cone also helps feed more consistently and with less jams. It also helps to preload the drive cone spaces and reduce the chances of jams.

The clutch kit actually works phenomenally well in conjunction with the B2 software to make a VERY fast loader which is also very gentle.
