Damm man why the attitude ?? this is what i hate he was just posted a general thread dont need to get assy !

Read what you just wrote and see how f*cking stupid that sounds.

So your plan is to cut all new players out of the game, by expecting them to not want to take time off work while at the same time forcing experienced players to use up their valuable holiday time to play?

And I suppose you're categorizing yourself as a high-level player?

Anyways little miss kat... what happened to you playing the ionman? We even had a nearly 100% team who played and thought to myself 'she cud have even shot girls and not felt to bad lighting the blokes up' lol :D
Couldn't get there, travel from here is bent.

The reality is that the majority of truly dedicated ballers spend all of their money playing paintball, and there are very few of those dedicated ones that are lucky enough to be in a job that both pays highly and is flexible enough as to allow those players to take a day off and spend yet more money playing.
I agree with this, it would especially effect anyone who is self employed.
Also you'd have to find organisers/marshalls/trade stand owners with flexible jobs.

I didnt quote that did i ? Just said no need to get assy

Of course if not good and agree with you it would never work but thats all you had to say fella no need to get so nasty with him :)

So you think its reasonable to suggest that new players be cut out of the game by making it increasingly difficult for them to play?

Would that not be detrimental to the sport?

Have to agree with scott... that was a little harsh for someone simply asking a question.

lol no no not at all, i purely ment that during the week would meen that new players would be less keen to take time off and the standars would be higher thats all.
Tournament like UKM have multiple divisions for the levels of experience. If you want higher standards play in a higher division.

Paintballing needs new players for the continuation of the game, and to increase its popularity.

Maybe you could run a weekday tournament but I dont think it would be as popular, and you'll probably find it would die off fairly quickly because people are unwilling to keep using holiday days for tournaments.

Maybe so, but I can't see the logic in hindering the introduction of new players to the sport by suggesting a means of only allowing experienced people to play :?

Regardless, it wouldn't necessarily make it any easier for more experienced players to get the time off work as opposed to newer players. In fact even less so, if those players need to save up annual leave for travel to/from major league tournaments such as the Millennium Series.

It isnt a great idea though, i like that fact hes thinking of getting more ballin in somehow, but it really wouldnt work, unless your unemployed and dont work, but then that wouldnt work as you wouldnt be able to pay for your hobbey!! Doh..

the comment on this forum is.... the trash talkin' forum reserved for 'ballers with attitude

So maybe a shot in the dark but just wondered what peoples thoughts were on a week day tourny, yes most cant make it, but in my mind they could take a holidiay from work etc if they were serious ballers.

Most ballers are weekend people and having a weekday 1 off tourny somewhere would mean only seriour ballers would attend having taken a day off to attend etc, not just turn up on a sunday coz they have nothing better to do or they are rec players etc.

Would anyone be game game for this or want to host / sponsor this? With it being a week day my guess is trade stands would be above average?

Comments please.....

Chriz :D
everyone is getting assy with him saying.. "its beneficial to cut new players out".... read his post ... "A 1 OFF!!!!" jeez give the guy a break he made a suggestion, your scaring newcomers off by having this attitude they are gonna think all paintballers are assy ba$tards!!!

I guess maybe it was because i worded it wrong... ooops sorry lol.

The likes of nspa run a wed night local tourny and thought why not make it a full day kinda thing as a 1 off or if it was suceceful wouldnt even have to be monthy say bimonthy or trimonthy or whatever with a total of 6 or 4 per year at various venues around the country. I guess what i originally ment was like a huge single day per year. As for the cut new players out, there are a load of tournys they can play in allover the uk so its not effecting the sport whatsoever, aoart from the fact i never said anything about newbes who were keen etc, what i said was only the really keen paintballers not the turn up on a sunday for somthing to do kinda people ...... anyways dont really matter. Was only a thought, guess its a bad idea, never mind :D
