the comment on this forum is.... the trash talkin' forum reserved for 'ballers with attitude

So maybe a shot in the dark but just wondered what peoples thoughts were on a week day tourny, yes most cant make it, but in my mind they could take a holidiay from work etc if they were serious ballers.

Most ballers are weekend people and having a weekday 1 off tourny somewhere would mean only seriour ballers would attend having taken a day off to attend etc, not just turn up on a sunday coz they have nothing better to do or they are rec players etc.

Would anyone be game game for this or want to host / sponsor this? With it being a week day my guess is trade stands would be above average?

Comments please.....

I see where you're coming from, but it would be difficult if some people really didn't have jobs where holidays were that easy, I don't know. It's stupidly late.

Was only a thought thats all :D I guess i am lucky and can take holidays when and as i choose to be fair, (i work when i want anyways lol), it wont be so easy for others, just i thought to myself ... you see loads of paintball events where people play for somik to do or where people play just so they get 5 mins away from there wife etc so thought it wud be good if people were taking the time off to play becasue these wud be comitited and extreamly keen paintballers etc thats all.

Anyways little miss kat... what happened to you playing the ionman? We even had a nearly 100% team who played and thought to myself 'she cud have even shot girls and not felt to bad lighting the blokes up' lol :D

So you're suggesting that people should take the time off work to play tourneys in the week purely to prove that they are "committed and extremely keen paintballers"?

I'll stick to weekends thanks.

lol no no not at all, i purely ment that during the week would meen that new players would be less keen to take time off and the standars would be higher thats all.

Read what you just wrote and see how f*cking stupid that sounds.

So your plan is to cut all new players out of the game, by expecting them to not want to take time off work while at the same time forcing experienced players to use up their valuable holiday time to play?

And I suppose you're categorizing yourself as a high-level player?

The reality is that the majority of truly dedicated ballers spend all of their money playing paintball, and there are very few of those dedicated ones that are lucky enough to be in a job that both pays highly and is flexible enough as to allow those players to take a day off and spend yet more money playing.

This just simply, wouldn't work.

i work 3 out of 4 weekends - so i have to have a day off work to do any paintballing anyway.

Some times i'm lucky and it's my day off - other times i have to book an annual leave and lose money (i get paid, time and 2/3's for sunday but if i'm off i only get paid single time - so it costs me quite abit to play sunday :()
