im just curious why the hell balshaw is back in at 15, i will admit over the years i have never liked balshaw i have never rated him, hes week in defence, his tackling isnt great he struggles under the high ball and after last weeks fiasco kick which lead to a try why does he retain his place.

A couple of years ago i oculd of just about understood the team sticking with him as he was a very attacking full back but he seems to of lost his flair.

Should be an intresting match up, the italians have a good pack who are getting very well versed now and arnt the whooping team of the six nations any more.

Englands front five seem strong but not totally consistant together, in both the scrum and lineout with mistakes being made. Vickery has shrugged off his injury but how match fit is he, we didnt hear or see of him in the whole game against wales and he isnt a good leader in fact pretty dyer, when the chips were down last week you never saw him leading from the front as Martin Johnson would of done, you never heard his voice billowing through the ground rallying the troops, is it time for a new captain?

What ever happens im looking forward to a good game, few pints in the pub :D going out in an hour to warm up.

Good look boys bring home the win.

Lewsey is the answer to fullback! i cant understand how he is consistantly under rated by this half wit coach.

england should win this but if their front five cant control the ball then italy will cause some amjor problems.

italy for the upset today. then hopefully they will sack ashton!!

also jonny wilkinson needs to challenge the line. kicking isnt enough any more. englnd need a attacking number 10, after all its a position for an all rounder. it doesnt pay to have a 1 dimensional flyhalf.

cheers

I did have quite a lengthy reply to you but due to the hangover i have, sorry, but all i have is, if england want to beat the italians (which i think they will ) they have to have width. Wilkinson should hang up his boots and my god England better get over the fact that Dallaglio and Mike catt have retired as you guys (england) are missing them big time

Have fun, altho i think England will win i'll be shouting for those italians

Erm the kickoff is 2:30 so in 8 mins
yeah realised this when i got to the pub, luclky i still had a few pints before the dismal display that was England today, fair do's we won but we did not deserve to win. Set pieces we seemed to do alright (almost typed excelled at but chsnged my mind) lineouts we were pretty efficient.

We made so many wrong decisions it was unbelieveable, why did we choose to play the blind side when we could of spun it wide with overlaps, the back 2 did not distribute well enough out onto the centres and wings for us to do enough damage. If this had been any other team in the 6 nations they would of beaten us just like wales did last week.

And mikey, its not just the likes of Dallaglio and Mike who we are missing, the likes of Johnson, Neil back, jason L, Jason robbinson, etc who we are missing since 2003, we have been a never been consistant team, consistant manager, or consistant captain and until we have a manager/coach anf captain with balls we will never have the same unison which came together in 03

I could have done better than England in the 2nd half and I am a cripple.
They were shocking.
Cant see why cipriani (spelling) is so special.
Still the greatest sport though, if a footballer got his face ripped apart by a boot, he would be stretchered off, crying and then put on a drip, they may even hold a funeral for him.
Rugby: few stitches without anesthetic, bit of bandage, electricians tape and then back on.
