Meh, It was boring, not true to any of the original concepts, not true to the concept of the Alien vs Predator comic. An action flick that you will forget about by the time you're outside the cinema lighting up the cigarette.

Yes, like we don't get that too often... Lost anyone? Or maybe the once worshipped The Blair Witch Project? Kudos to the makers though, they have finally made the next step in holywood movie making: Production cost sames as marketing if I recall correctly...

Rambo - a whopping 2.5 dead people per minute. 'Nuff said.

Sweeney Todd - is it just my imagination or is Depp specializing in grown up emo charactars?

You probably mean Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story.
Sums it up for me too matey. How anyone can say AvPr lives up to the originals must have seen different films to me. If I remember rightly Alien/s were absolute genius flicks both offering their own take on genre and redefining it in many respects. Predator is the ultimate alien badass. Simple as. Now this film pits our two loveable Saturday night brawlers in what can only be described as ... well a big ol' pile of tosh. Once AGAIN the directors have took it upon themselves to alter Gigers design, once again they have changed rules put in place by the original scripts and once again they have done all of this so badly I actually cringed in places. This is another 'the trailer is better than the film' affairs.

Cloverfield is genius. Simple as that. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong (lol no I'm not that arrogant, im kidding, im kidding). But please try to understand what it is doing. Rather than going down the route of American presidents asking where its from, generals threatening to nuke everything and soldiers 'trying to get to da chopppa!' they have managed to focus the story on people who are real. Sure all that will be happening, but while it is JJ has decided to get down and dirty with the people who care the most in our little bubbles. Us. You, me, him and her. The public. Its been done in such a way so as to get us to relate to these people and understand their feelings, shot in such a way so as to understand their POV and helps to pull us in. Its also a story of redemption and love. Their just so happens to be a major attack from a creature that has lain dormant in the ocean for 1000's of years happening to instigate those raw emotions. I went in there fully aware of this and as a result I adore the film. It’s done for me everything the viral marketing campaign has been promising since all we got was a few simple numbers to look forward to, 18.01.08.

^^ what he said, have you seen blair witch ?? just like that realy.
didnt make me feel ill at all, in my opinion easy to follow one of those films to change cinema duno what people have against it. but when we went to see it, a couple of rows in front we had a small group of semi chavs, n just before the very end of the film one of them stood up n shouted this film is **** and walked out LOL the others didnt follow though so i gess its something that you love or hate.

seen miami vice aswell n thought it was a pice of sh!t :p

jack.

oo and like jonny said its got the whole love story to go with it (duno if ur in to that kat but my girl loved it) so somthing for everyone in the story line =p

Question, did it make you feel ill? With the camera moving all the time? I went to see Miami vice and the camera was a tiny bit shakey and it did my head in, maybe I should avoid this film for fear of film rage.

I think cloverfield looks ok. I was dead excited about it last week but the more adverts Ive seen the less bothered I am about it. For anyone planning to see it stay after the credits, there's an extra bit.
