No not really normally 5 turns for winter & 7 in the summer...
Your going the wrong way mate.

I shoot 4 to 4.5 turns in the winter (DOW 33 as lube) and in the summer I come DOWN to 3 to 3.5.

It needs to be higher in the winter to "push" the bolt harder. It counteracts the stickiness of the lube in cold weather.

In the summer you need less force as lube is generally nice and slick. Therefore you LPR can be turned down.

Stoke...

I would set everything to stock.

5 turns for the LPR (winter)
Dwell 18 (can goto about 20 in winter to help)
Hyper about 3.5 turns

Then check your bolt o-rings and make sure the white no 17's in the bolt can and top hat are not swollen. Replace to avoid doubt.

It may also be that you regs need a service as the gun is 3 years old.

Give it a go and if you have no joy, send it to Fly or DYE themselves to have it looked at.

I have visions of Lump falling off his chair!!

My DM7 runs comfortably in the summer at 3, as it gets colder maybe half a turn more.

At 7 turns make sure you have some spare o rings laying about ;)

DM7 will require less LPR pressure as the bolt assembly was improved from the DM5 version.

DM5's run best with slightly higher LPR settings although all Mtrixes will vary slightly.

If you want an easy way to find the optimum LPR setting just turn it down (in) and then fire while increasing the pressure (out). Keep doing theat until the gun is cycling nicely and shooting paint consistently. When this happens add 1/4 - 1/2 turn out to allow for random decreases in temperature during the day.

if you keep your bolt o-rings in good condition then you will learn how to adjust your settings to get the best out of your particular gun over time.

I know that buddy, I have a DMC aswell :)
Cool.

I was just clarifying it for the guy who posted the question.
You said 4.5 turns "was a little keen" but it wouldn't be for a DM5.
