Might sound a daft question but the stupid plastic rip drive wheel on my halo collapsed and i need a replacement which is going to cost me £12-17 Dependant on retailer.
Now the question, "For approx £26 + extras i can buy an upgrade kit which includes the stupid plastic wheel, but would there be any performance gain to be achieved in me doing so"?
Is this upgrade kit worth the money?
Maybe i'll be thinking straight when i sober up but i just can't see what difference it would make, apart from the marketing sounds great?

I think you're looking at the rip drive kit which includes the shaft and circlips etc. The ripdrive wheels are only a couple of quid, but yeah, the standard ones seem designed to fail, pretty w@nk really. better to see if you can find obw in delrin or a stronger plastic one.

yes, the magna kit actas as a slipper clutch type thing, allowing you to shoot more fragile paint, while still maintaining a constant pressure on the ball stack.

personally i think they made a great system and stuck it in a silly looking shell, but thats me.

Metals ones are £12 upwards and yes it's £16 for a kit as no-one seems to advertise the wheels on their own. If you know different, i'd appreciate a nod in the right direction;)

So doing a retrofit means i get a great system in a great shell.....i may consider it just because i'm a technogeek:D

They work very well indeed, it's a genuine upgrade over delrin cones etc and once set up it can shoot fragile paint at 12bps all day, or as fast as you want to go with harder stuff:)
