Bottle Leak-not fill nipple

Right guys wasn't sure if i should have posted it in Techroom or to post this in newbies because this is going to be incredibly easy or hard to fix knowing my luck! My bottle lasted about 4 days after a 3000 psi before becoming empty. By using the search, I was convinced it was the fill nipple but have since tested it in water and the air is leaking out of a little hole on top of the reg gauge. To help explain i took some pictures

sorry for the second pic being a bit rubbish but should give you a idea. I think it means probably a new reg and if you need any further info just ask

yes, hot water to soften the loctite and a good grip on the gauge. I use the chuck on my lathe to grip the gauge, but if you haven't got a lathe it's a bit expensive to buy one just for this.;)
