232 bar is 3000psi
300 bar is 4500psi

So depends if your site will allow 4500 psi, if they do go for the 300 bar one

Keep in mind you won't be able to fill 3000psi bottles off a 300bar tank, since you only get that pressure out of it and they fill way too fast to bodge it safely. May not be a concern of yours, but I felt it was worth mentioning.

They won't only fill at that pressure - you control how much goes in using the on/off valve. If I'm filling a 3000psi bottle off my 232bar tank, I just keep an eye on the gauge and fill it slowly, and could do the same off a 300bar rig. I could put just a couple of thousand psi in a bottle if I wanted to, and often do if I'm only testing for leaks etc.

A tank will only fill too fast is if you are a total knobber, and don't know how to use a fill rig properly. You should fill tanks gradually anyway to prevent heat & stress damage.

and also, it wont fill to the limit of the bottle all day long after 2-4 fills you will see a drop off, best thing to do it is get a 300bar tank and fill to 3000psi all the time, will last longer.

scary stuff........ personally i would trade my 3000 psi bottle for a 4500 psi..... there cannot be any mistakes then or a 232 bar 12l dive cylinder will be vastly cheaper than a 300 bar cylinder. i would do one or the other dont mess around with high pressure air if someone fills in a rush not realizing they only have a 3000 psi bottle do you want to be stood next him

Gee tee's right, it's really easy to fill to a required pressure from a dive tank, as the valves are very precise.

But you must be aware of the fact that you could overfill it, and if not confident don't do it.

I fill a 3000psi bottle off a 300bar tank and it might just be me, but I am very aware and alert to the fact I need to stop at 3000psi, I dont think it's a problem but you would have to be down right stupid to try and squeeze in more than what the bottle should hold. Not that it's an excuse to overfill but that's what the bursk discs are for.
