it really that much for 1 year:eek: crazy
yeah what a fooking joke eh!!

The transfer and license costs are high enough, but to be asked to pay the prices we've been offered spots for is a discrace to paintball! everyone goes on about how much paint and tournaments cost, but now its time for the teams to look at themselves for a change  who's to blame now?

i'm under no illusion that if we were in the same position, then we'd want to make a quick buck, but dont take the piss.

oh well :(

Wait, did I catch that right? It costs 10,000 pounds to play D1 Millenium next year?

You can play 5 PSP D2 events for half that much. 5,000 pounds buys a lot of airfare, not to mention with the exchange rate everything else in the US is probably cheaper too.

sod the millenium, infact sod the paintball, lets use the money to go to New YOrk and buy new Trainers !!! LOL:D

Daft money to play, and they wonder why folks are giving up, becasue they cannot afford to play, and lose interest.

Think that is if you want to buy a spot with owner transfer fees etc.

Yep ten grand is about right! That's for buying a slot and transferring the team into that place and paying the licence fee

The breakdown is:
Transfer fee - £2225.00 (incl. tax @ 17.5%)
Licence fee - £5563.00 (incl. tax @ 17.5%)
Spot price - £3787.00 (slots seem to be on offer for 4 - 5000 Euro's)

Total - £11,575 or 15,283.00 Euro's...or $22,735.00

That's why the PSP now looks so appealing :)

It does seem a bit strange to be going to 12bps at the same time as the PSP are going to 13, just means another layer of adjustment and confusion between the two. I'd love to know the rationale behind changing to 12 and then introducing a mode that looks very difficult to program with most of the current boards; Mill ramping capped at whatever I could understand, or PSP, but instead we get a whole new mode absolutely no-one supports yet:confused:

Lower paint bills will be nice but I wonder if it costs the same to be a paint sponsor this year and if so will companies be as interested if they won't sell as much paint? No doubt the wise ones from the Mills will be able to justify all these decisions and set minds at ease;)
