Check out BBC news today, currently on the list is Deactivated firearms, but then I saw this:

"Some campaigners, such as Gill Marshall-Andrews of Gun Control Network, have called for even tougher legislation, such as banning airsoft weapons."

old news...in a way.

there are already restrictions on the sale of airsoft weapons, as you now need a "license" (more of a proof of membership) to purchase one.

this was done to avoid them being banned under the banner of "imitation firearms" and the associate laws and whatnot, but many campaigners have always felt that that wasn't enough....gits!!

there are still those campaigning for paintball to go - not directly - but through the medium of banning any and all air weapons (including all air propelled projectile launchers...)

still, i don't think we will ever see the point where we end up with these sporting goods being banned - but i reckon people said the same about sporting handguns......

Well why not play super safe & ban Water Pistols as well !!!!!!!!!!!!!

When will they ever realise that it's the "BAD" people that cause the problems ??

:D That is why they are bad! :D

Worst case scenario with this legislation is we would have to get a firearms certificate. If you are "BAD" you won't get one - legally that is ;)

here in Northern Ireland all air powered weapons require a license. that includes paintball markers.

I find it a little strange that a paintball marker requires the exact same license as a shotgun......

I think the airsoft side is because they are designed to look like real guns. 90 percent the markers we use don't look like a proper gun. If some one walked into a bank with an ego the chance are no one would take it serious Although if some one was planning to walk in a bank like that then in the confusion people mint take a branch in a plastic bag as a gun.

General question. If you were in a bank/shop robbery as a customer and someone triger to hold it up with an airsoft gun, what would you do?
I would point my fore fnger and middle finger at them, and make a clicking sound when cocking back my thumb:D

Me: So, you are obviously the big d!ck. The men on the side of ya are your balls. There are two types of balls. There are big brave balls, and there are little mincey faggot balls.

Him: These are your last words, so make them a prayer.

Me: Now, d!cks have drive and clarity of vision, but they are not clever. They smell pu$$y and they want a piece of the action. And you thought you smelled some good old pu$$y, and have brought your two small mincey faggot balls along for a good old time. But you've got your parties mangled up. There's no pu$$y here, just a dose that'll make you wish you were born a woman. Like a pr!ck, you are having second thoughts. You are shrinking, and your two little balls are shrinking with you. And the fact that you've got "Replica" written down the side of your gun... [Zoom in on the side of his gun, which indeed has "REPLICA" etched on the side; zoom out, as they sneak peeks at the sides of their guns] ...and the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point five O"... [Withdraw my gun and put it on the table] ...written down the side of mine... [They look, zoom in on the side of my gun, which indeed has "DESERT EAGLE .50" etched on the side] ...should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now... FERK OFF!

;)
