would it be possible to dye it?

Get hold of some rit dye.

Get a saucepen of water, fill it with how much of the dye you want (more dye=darker the colour)

Boil it, chuck in plastic parts. leave to dye with plastic in to simmer for 30 mins - 1 hour.

but then when bits chip off they can get stuck in the mech. then you have to clean it and so on..
Done many?

Done a few plasticote spray paints work really well, just dont forget that if you are doing multiple colours or graphics, what ever you want as the top layer showing on the outside is the first one you lay down

You have an opportunity to do some cool shells...remember, that what you do as to be done in reverse, ie foreground colour, background colour etc then lacquer.

Use model car paint, Tamiya etc. You can also put legal sticker inside too.

Then just lacquer over the rest...couple of coats should do it.

Look at Stinger paintball for ideas.
