Importing stuff from US

I'm all for supporting UK dealers, but if I can save a much-needed 20 quid I'll explore my options!. I don't want to try to get around taxes (might be hard to sneak 5 or 6 masks through ). I wanted to know how much the taxes are to see if it's worth legally importing a few masks. It's looking like a group buy from the UK will probably end up cheaper anyway, but if anyone has any experience on the issue I'd like to know. Cheers

Just go with the UK group buy mate as yeah sure you can save a few bob importing but it will only take a nosy duty inspector to have a peek and add a bill onto your shipment which completely cancels out the saving you made in the 1st place.

Atleast buying from the UK means you know what your paying with no hidden or unexpected charges and you'll be supporting our market

if you buy a yank DM8.... Dye Europe wont touch it under warranty the gun would have to go to San Diego CA for warranty work.

I've never had problems buying stuff from stateside but they are only usually tiny things like triggers and feed necks for the viking, think lump had a issue when he bought his Marq though

Although it might be cheaper in the US we want paintballl big over here so support Britain. Unless push comes to shove buy from UK.

Profilers, Grillz, and EVents. Unlikely to get through unnoticed, and pretty expensive items to purchase new from UK dealers.

yeah pretty much...normally the warranty is only valid in the country of purchase ie USA.

yeah, but for all intents and purposes he's right, you still get a warranty, all be it for the USA. but a warranty all the same.

Depends who you deal with,i bought a marker stateside and the European distributor had no problem in dealing with the warranty if anything went wrong.

it is discresionary to the dealer about warranties, i wouldnt chance it personally.

i would imagine a bulky item such as goggles wouldnt go unnoticed and the its a gift line only works under a certain value of goods (it aint high about $80 i think)

ive seen an absolute bucket of Events on Ebay recently going for about £45-£50 if that helps you in any way
