Forget trying to get a decent motor first time round, buy a banger for a couple of hundred quid and with the money you save go and do your advanced driving and if you can pay a bit more for the class 1 extra lessons, this will plummet your insurance down and with the money saved on ins you can splash out on a nice little number, nowadays i only pay 102 quid for a 2.3 galaxy full comp.

Couple of up to date ones...interesting...apparently, Blue cars are driven by Introspective, careful persons...

You haven't been asked your car colour...but...they have the registration number and they will get all the details of the car, from that.

I don't suppose a re-spray would be an effective way to reduce insurance premiums:D

If you do spray your car a different colour, be sure to advise the DVLA..or you could get stopped lots by the old bill (copied plate SUSPECT) or, void your insurance because the car isn't as specified.

Skeet, according to your second link, colour won't affect your insurance premiums:
Color And Your Premium - Any Relation?
What about the car insurance rates question? Does your auto insurance company use color to determine your premium? The answer is…no.

Some people have suggested that insurers use the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to determine the car color and use that information, in part, to set the rate for each car. However, car color is not one of the details encoded into a VIN number. So technically, unless they ask you the color of your car when you buy your car insurance policy, they really have no idea what color it is. And thus has no affect on your rate.
