ego 7 shim lubrication

Im servicing a friends ego 07, taken inline reg apart etc cleaned most of it, it doesnt say in the manual but do the shims need cleaning?

also what would you put on the shims afterwards eclipse oil, dow etc? Got a feeling it would be oil.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

yes give them a wipe but they dont need lubing. a wipe with a clean cloth with a bit of oil in it

Avon works best...

They used to say lube the shims with Vaseline in the 05-06...I put a touch of Vaseline on them to prevent any moisture causing rust and just so they have some lube.

I was tought to use a spot of vasaline but not too much as it will block your QEV's. Nicky did tell me just to use ECLIPSE oil the other day to prevent this
