If you look i edited my post...there are no o-rings on my barrel.

Wouldn't have thought it'd be sufficient. You would need to use rubbing alcohol really... and if you then rinse that off with distilled water... etc

Been there done that.

done a few red barrel backs they came out a orangy pinky shade, looks awesome, just tring to find time to do the rest of the barrel.

It came over from ze Germans, a guy put a reg (or something similar) in the oven to heat the loctite and found it changed the colour so threwhis borg in, came out a nice doo doo brown.

just popped my green barrel in the oven will post what colour it goes and some pics if anything happens!

right it has been in for 2 hours now and there is little colour change so i have moved it from middle of oven to top and turned up to gas mark 7 , will give it another hour and see if ought happens
