well thanks a lot for the days ball. cant say im suprised with where our team finished. :p ive been beating them into shape all winter... rain, snow and ice training. so first id like to thank them for listening.

Thanks to Shaun at Reaper Paintball for the field and cheap (shootable) paint over the winter break.

cheers to the refs the angels and the wendy for the day. and thanks very much to lips for the paint even when they ran out of it we still got some from them.

id also like to thank all the other teams who wore our paint. to steal a rather ingenious quote i heard at the presentation.
"Our paint looked better on you than yours did on us!"

:D

Cheers guys see you in febuary!

Not a complaint, only a question. How come only the Xball field had a snake on it?

I was playing front and kind of wanted to go snake side, but none of our fields had one.
It was mainly due to technical issues (laptops to be blunt) and the lack of time to get things sorted I believe. Personally I loved playing fields with no snake side, bit more in your face.

The reffing consistency sucked on the xball field... one side (Snake side) was sticking to the, 'If you fire one shot after being hit, instant 1 4 1' Where as the other side weret... Plus being pulled for a bounce... kinda took the piss a little, but whatever ace fun and good event! :)

got pulled for a bounce on my shoulder, no paint at all, white jerseys aint exactly good at hiding paint but hey its just a game. awesome day field one was awesome

Thanks for the kind words Lump, was difficult to dodge your paint down that centre lane each time! For our first run out at Xball as a team, we really got into the swing of it by our last game which was against Silverbacks. Ou best game of the day has to have been against DV8. In the immortal words of Geordie Andy; "i've got no nails left after that one!". With no time left to play and at 4-4 we went to sudden death (first to score the point with no time limit), DV8 came out of the gate and took us down one by one so props to you guys.

The pits on the UKM-Lite field were good but not without the odd glitch. It was nice to have our own little scoreboard in there so there was no doubt what was happening. More pit space maybe next time so everyone doesnt have to keep shifting their kit back outside. Also as Lump said, the fields were abit too small. There was a good atmosphere and rapour between most of the teams; helping each other out with coaching on the far side etc. There's always going to be dodgy decisions, but in the morning especially there was a lack of consistency which improved after the refs had abit of a meeting i think. Playing game after game takes its toll on players and it'll be the same for refs, cheers though guys, the day wouldn't have happened without you.
