Not at all, what i find strange is the amount of people that bash Angels just because they shoot something else.
Spent many hundreds of pounds on an IR3 a few years ago. Nothing but problems with cops failing, battery not holding charge, inconsistancy and funnily enough breaking paint.

I then used an impy for a year or so which cost half the price of the IR3 yet gave me no problems at all other than an eye ribbon. Sold it for penuts in parts when I decided to get something smaller.

Then came the Ego. Super efficient, never goes wrong and minimal maintanence. The icing on the cake is the personal touch and support that you get from the chaps Planet.

I am not disputing the support is good from WDP. However charging for upgrades that arguably make the marker function is plain wrong. (see ball detent revision, exhaust valve revision, eye cover revision and software revisions) Most of these are surely a direct result of inadequate product testing?

Jebus Christ, why do these things always reduce to Angels suck. Getting old now guys. And as the the breaking thing I've had balls breaks in every gun I've owned, it happens markers can only be so good and the conditions are the main problem these days.

DS i'm not against you just give it a rest mate infact I quite like your ability to get under peoples skins :), its your choice and you have chosen wisly and i'm sure other people have with the angel. Both look lovely and personaly i'd say the angel looks better and the ego feels better but all is done to individuals.
Shocker owner over and out . . .
Bob. Do understand that it is the very fact that people bite and the way that they do that I continue with this topic of conversation:)

I agree each to their own regarding what you shoot. Likewise I agree that if I went down to my local WDP dealer and purchased an A1 in its current revised form that it would shoot like any other high end marker. What I find amusing is the fact that nobody that owns an A1 or works at WDP (currently or not) can admit that they were less than perfect when they hit the shops. Unfortunately for WDP this is what has hurt sales because of the customer's first impression is a less than bright one.

The mini would have sold by the truck load if it did not have performance related issues from release.

Hi Poppacap. How you keeping:)

While I am a bit partial to Stella the nation is a big no no unless it's the news section during world cup.

I even wet myself on a regular basis but at least I admit it.

I simply do not believe that your A1 worked fine while Ego's and Dm's failed.
Believe what you like, you seem to any way.

Perhaps the Angel owners had not shelled out the couple of hundred quid you need to spend to get the gen2 'fixed what we did not do right in the first place' parts.

Like I posted before, more a result of improved manufacturing than what paint they'll shoot. It would be interesting to see a scan of the invoice for the "couple of hundred quid" these owners have had to shell out on parts, other than genuine wear items, such as detents, exhaust valves etc. If I recall correctly there was a speedy replacement of the eye covers due to the original items not being supplied to the correct specification, and a replacement bolt due to the tendency for face of the originals to become loose or detach. Both FREE upgrades in my experience. As for software upgrades - freely available from the www.wdp.tv website, all the useer needs to invest in is a cable, just like the one most people have with their digital camera.

I will concede that I have had A1s brought to me that are breaking paint, usually a quick reseting of the board settings sorts this out though. I actually know of an early example that has all the original parts bar the eye covers and bolt, that shoots fine.

The WDP link I have refers to the specific problem and also 'click here to purchase.'

Sorry I was not clear on my software argument. It is not the ease or cost of software updates that I am refering to. It is the number of them and the fact that they resolve issues that clearly should have been identified if the marker was tested correctly.
