vB is the better of the many types of forums, but the most expensive.
invision powerboard is Okay, and PHPBB is the worst (in my opinion) most forums have the ability to have image verification now anyway, i'd personally buy vB for a forum, its fairly difficult to get used to at first, but once you get used to it, its a breeze, so its best to get someone experienced to be an admin and set it all up, so you can just swoop in and do the finer details, and then once you have more members, get some moderators also

I don't really expect to have a massive amount of users (maybe a few hundred) so I would be expecting to moderate it myself. I did wonder about the set-up process on vB though, having a look through the demo version it does look pretty complicated.. but guess that just has to be overcome.

No problem
And its always nice to have 2 or 3 other moderators aswell though, so they can do more things at once etc but your choice

I also admin 2 forums using WoWbb software which costs $99 and is pretty easy to use.

I can also volunteer my help (free) as a moderator/admin as I am not allowed to work any more
