I have shot proto paint though my 06,07 and 08 and we have used it to test the markers at work in the past so am surprised that you are having a problem with that paint its usually quite good. If it chops in the barrel then i would say that the problem lies in your barrel or both of your barrels. If i remember correctly the proto paint is quite big so that could be the problem. Have you tryed different bore size backs when shooting this paint? Do you test the paint is a good match to the barrel before you use this paint? Are the barrels clean? Is it just with this paint? Lots of things to try if you have no luck then you could send the markers to Planet and we can check them over for you. Dont think the problem lies with the markers though. Sorry i cannot be more helpful but kind of hard to diagnose a problem without the marker in front of me to try differant things. :)

Have just laid my hands on a freak barrel kit, i will try that and see if it helps, Barrels are kept very clean, my markers are looked after nearly to the same degree as a soldier will look after his personal weapon. Cleanliness is next to godliness when it comes to a weapon system, same for a marker - you must treat them with respect so that they never let you down

It's worth checking out your feed system. Some of the latest hoppers put a lot of force on paint in an attempt to get silly feed rates, and results in broken balls in breech or feed neck. If yours has an adjustable force feed option you could try backing it off, and see if you get less breaks. There's little point setting a feeder for 25bps if your capped at 15.

Both use a Pulse with RF chips set up, so yes all the gear and no idea is perfect representation of me, although we did do well at the UK masters 3man (Novice), now to see what happens on the 5man.

This is correct but as said this would cause breaks in the feed neck or breach not the barrel so thats why i have ruled this problem out. Only tends to happen when the paint is really fragile as well. If the breaks are happening in the breach not the barrel then try a differant loader or set your loaders speed to match that of the marker. When the breaks are happening is there paint getting smashed in the breach or is the breach clean?:)

Breach is staying clean, it is literally in the barrel on both, i am an expert with a fluffy in some games nowadays lol.

Have no problems with Draxxus or Sterling Pro, even Chronic and Spank fly through with no fuss.

Would suggest that the paint is to big for the barrel you will find a big drop in FPS with the proto as well if this is the case. I would say use a bigger bore barrel for the proto or use a differant paint with your standard barrels.:)
Thanks Steve

Will give it a try on the 30th when i play next and will PM you to let you know.
