Racegun cycle problem

I bought a racegun that I haven't used in months. I recently charged the battery up and updated the software and now each time I pull the trigger it goes:

"Clunk...... clickety click...."

Instead of:

"RRRRRRRRRAATAtATATATATATATTatattatatatATATATATATATAAAA!!!!!!!"

What's gone wrong? I've put the latest software for the board on there, firmware 4 I seem to remember, (to make sure I even downloaded the software for the older board, but it wouldn't let me put it because it was not the right version).

Any nerds out there who know their way around Raceguns?

Is it firing slowly..sort of block back...pause...block forward?

Does the new software, in that case...have Eye control on it?
Raceguns, didn't use to have eyes, but if this software has eye control and you have no eyes on the marker...it might be an idea to investigate and shut off eye control if it is there.

Maybe...

Thanks for the suggestion Skeet - you've always been an idol of mine (I think there's quote floating around here from a couple of years ago where I say you are the father I wish I had) - but xray has pointed me in the right direction and it's all fixed now. ACE was already turned off - I just copied one of the settings they suggested and tweaked it so it suited me. It's only a spare gun anyway, I just wanted it to work!
