Bank transfer, what deails?

Hi guys,

Someone buying some stuff of me and wanting to use bank transfer but what details do you need to give?

Cheers gave the guy the bank details but he just wanted to know name etc and didnt know if you had to as could have been dodgy..

this is the reason i don't like bank transfer, in essence your handing your bank information to absolute stranger's that can do anything with it

not necessary they wont be able to take out any monies only put in it could work in your favor & with all the security around you account you should be OK & if the bank does screw it up they will pay you back..

They could easily buy something from someone else with your details.

you cant do anything with just the sort code and account number. i prefer sending stuff that way than paypal as it's easier to trace money.
There's nothin dodgey about doing it this way, your just cutting the middleman out.

They couldn't buy anything using his details cos he couldn't acces his account without extra security, and the other persons bank cannot take money from his, it has to be sent.
