to be honest i hate lids now - the bit of plastic that hold the lid up on mine broke so the lid wouldnt stay sprung up - which led to me on several occasions doing the classic - opening the lid, grabbing your pod, filling only to realise the lid has flopped back down.

speed feeds have their disadvantages but overall they rock over a lid - i just let my balls get wet - they do make great patterns in the air.

the only thing i do is leave my hand over the top whilst waiting at the start gate.

I tried a speed feed and from the experience i had you cant fit as much paint in your hopper than with the lid and i actualy found it slower. It was new so that may have been the reason but it put me off straight away. I can definitely recommend the pringle cap. If your really concerned about the rain getting in just put your old lid back on :D

to be honest i dont really find a problem with speedfeeds in the rain, just keep a bag over them until your playing, and then the paint isnt in your hopper long enough to get wet anyway.

here man you ever heard of multi quote? it means that you can respond to many posts with the one post, sometimes you have up to 3 posts in a row, it's a bit ridiculous. it's the button in the corner of the post, the middle button.

on topic though i have a vlocity and for me what you have to worry about more than your paint in a game is the electronics!! i used it for the first time in the rain and the micro switch broke, i can't change settings now :(
