The acceleration of the bolt will be very high. Dont be too worried about that.

The amount of time the bolt spends moving is very very tiny.
Remember, the forward stroke time we are talking about here is the time between when you pull the trigger and it going bang, to us it happens in an instant.

Im just looking at the forward motion here.

You cant really derive the bolt speed from the rate of fire, because you do not know how much time is spent with the bolt retracted waiting for a ball to fall in, or forward propelling the paintball.
While on some guns this forward time is very small, its not instantaneous as in your model.


The bolt of course will not have constant acceleration, but it my mind its closer than constant speed(instant acceleration model seems kinda silly).


The moral of this post, is just trust me its 8ms, well it was on my old angel.
8ms = average speed or average acceleration
 
could ya not look into the actual efficency of paintball markers?

how much energy is stored in the tank, compared to the amount you get that is useful (the bolt moving forward and back and bare minimum amount of energy required to accelerate the ball to 300fps)

just a thought to add some extra space into your study
