I'd take this as a better estimate, got my answer from PBNation from a guy that was trying to work out how hard a paintball hit someone in the face.
To extend the words I would write a list of the process, air in bottle, reg, board/solenoid, bolt system, bang. Write a fair bit about each and then also maybe explain the different types of valve system, i.e Spool, poppet etc.ill take an average and go for 2.9

its a physics class so im having to write as much "physic'sey" crap in as possible, opposite forces etc... bleh ! ill send you it when im done an you can see what you think

also, its not the main course it is one of those stupid classes you have to take for extra "points" there usually easy and you dont have to do any work for them but i couldnt think of anything else to write 2,500 words on how it works...
