Can anyone talk me out of getting a mini.

Owned and played with both for a long amount of time. Basically I would choose the mini over an 05 ego but not over an 07+.
Using a mini (well about 6) for half a season made me retire, they are terrible!

Mini's are ****, that a good enough reason for you?
If your just starting out I would get the 05 ego, purely because it will never let you down and will intruduce you to the basics of marker maintainence, I currently shoot an invert mini and it is without doubt the nicest marker I have ever used, it's not high maintainence by any means but the ego5 is the ideal marker in many respects, especially for someone new to the game.

My mini has rocked all year... most mini related problems I see are down to user error or bad maintenance.
The early ones had issues but they were ironed out pretty quickly.
(by the way I have left Storm, so not that I would just post to big up a sponsor but that is not currently an issue anyway)
