Hi guys,

Would like some advice on whether to go for a elipse eblade autococker,
I am very new to paintball and have just purchased a standard ion, on buying some pods the guy i bought off used to be a pro and showed me some other bits he had ( the cocker) it has no barrel or reg attached and is just the marker itself. he's said he wants 200quid for it at the very least.

I liked the look of the gun but dont know if im jumping in the deep end too quick or if it would be a good idea to go for it and start paintballing with a very good marker??
Is the price good? i think its at least 2-3yrs old.

Any advice will be greatly appriciated.

stick with the ion mate, you can upgrade it as you go... have you got playing gear? like pants and jerseys? also hoppers and air?
dont go spending money on guns when you have one that works perfectly fine ....
put ups on this gun (clamping feedneck, QEV, trigger, bolt) stuff like that, there are quite a few ion buffs on the forum should be able to help you more than little old me...

but to put it short, dont get the cocker.... as you will need to buy a barrel and reg adding more money and there quite a fiddly marker from what ive heard... ion is simple :)

Stick with the ion untill you find your feet in the wonderfull world of paintball. Ions are easy to get to grips with as a starter marker and they will help open your eyes to the techy side of things without getting to complicated.
In my humble opinion, Electro cockers or even mech cockers are wicked and goddamn accurate gats although somewhat out of date slightly nowadays:eek:, they also got a sweet sound to em' when they fire (the out of date thing is obviously a matter of opinion before ya'll start on me;)). My first gat was a mech prostock autococker and I had a great time with it...BUT....(theres always a but:rolleyes:)...
The more I started to learn about autococker maintenance, the more I decided it was too much for me to be tinkeriing with as a nooby to paintball.
So i bought an ion:cool:, learnt quite a bit about the basics with that and took it from there.
Also personally I would not pay £200 for a cocker with no reg or barrel (unless it was a karnivor:p) as a starter gun when you can get so much more for your money these days with 200 fat ones.

Whatever you do, good luck and enjoy ballin':)

nice one cheers guys, i didnt know if i was being offerd a bargain or not.
Your right tho about the tech side as looking at it with pipes coming out here and there and bits moving all over the place i thought i could end up in a lot of trouble with it.
ive tried to offer him 150 for it and all the other dye clothes and that he had and hs politely told me its all worth more than that so ill leave it.

Thanks again guys!!

Does this Ex-Pro have a name?
What part of the country are we talking about?

£200 is not a bargain for any cocker, as much as I love them. Unless its a proper half block etc.

For £200 you could get a lot more marker than what you have been offered!
Stick with an Ion I had one as my second gun and my only gripe was the longish cleaning time. Cockers were good a couple of years ago but now angels, the 'new' egos, shockers, Dye matrix and all the other new and improved elecropneumatic paint chuckers have replaced them.
Keep your £200 and spend it on something worth while.
As for having a good gun too fast.... don't worry the better the gun the less you will have to spend on it in the long run. Have a look on the F/S section of this forum and get a bargain.
If you need any help or advice you can PM me.
Good Luck! And welcome to the world of paintball.
Cheers

yeh as most people said stick with the ion. great starter marker and you can upgrade it as much as you want as every part on it is upgradeable.
