I reckon about 500 tops for tournie ballers in the UK. There cant be more than 90-120 teams surely. Thats ALOT of teams.

No what is really depressing is only around 50 players can actually play the game properly. The rest just think they know and carry on regardless.
i doubt it, most people just think that what they know is all they need to win at the level they want to be at, but thats for a different thread i spose.
Varies each year, just look at the number of teams in each seasons Masters and PA league. Both leagues having less number of teams entering each year.just add up how many teams there are in all the Uk leagues, and say average number of players is 6 for each team (accounting for some overlap between tourneys) at a fudge i'd say there's about 3 leagues each with 60 teams with 6 players each, if this sounds roughly accurate then you'd have 3*60*6 = 1080..
anyone who wants to chip in to this ballpark, please do as im just thinking out loud from figures that sound vaguely right
Also have to include calculation if possible that a lot of players play both leagues.
i did, hence the average 6 players per team - Pa is xball with 10 players average, nspl is 7man and masters is 5man with most teams having spare players
The NSPL has over 800 players registered on its Database from the 2007 season alone. That is not including all Proto KotH teams (though some have already registered in preperation for 2008). So, at a guess, I would put the number of regular tournament players in the UK at over 2,000 - of course, it depends on what you class as "regular" and what you class as "tournament players".
