I just saw this on a site and false advertising springs to mind

The 98 Custom ACT Marker is the latest brainstorm from Tippmann who is the number one manufacturer of paintball guns in the world.

Tippmann does spring to mind a lot when it comes to woodsball

You have to also take into account the US - Tippmann are huge over there to. The carlsberg of paintball markers as they stand up to anything including customer use!

Just thought I would share

they ARE the number one retailer. in terms of sales, how many 98's do you think have been sold? a LOT more than any Angel/Shocker/Ego, or any other electro Marker. a site in Birmingham have around 360-380 Tippmann 98's, plus loads of other Tippmann's. most woodsball sites in the US use Tippies, plus many over here in the UK, so it really isnt false advertisement. or even exaggerated.

...and the 'ACT' (Anti-Chop Technology) is pretty nifty stuff, for a non-electro marker to have a devise to prevent chops is pretty much breakthrough. although at high rates of fire, a couple of dry shots may occur, but its still cool!

Considering that the majority of sites run tippmanns i'd easily believe it

pretty much every rental site in the country uses tipmanns
a lot of new players start with them and they are good solid guns, they arnt the most advanced guns in the world but i would say they are the most popular.
