Ego 05 accuracy +- fps

alright guys
im just wondering how i can make my ego more accurate by lowering the +- of the fps at chrono
i know obviously good paint to barrel match etc etc but im shooting proto through a good bore size
and its still plus minus anywhere between 5 and 15 on bad days?
any tips?

Fella, your after consistancy not accuracy. Proto paint is one of the better quality balls about.

Service your reg if you feel the need to.

check you dwell, lpr pressure and service both regs

...but +/- 10 or less is not too bad

yoeah thats what i meant just havent had my coffe yet today

its just annoying me as my mini is -+ 3fps but i dont like it as much as the 05

and a fair bit more accurate due to this

this is what i used to use on my ego's, and got pretty good consistancy on good paint

1st, lube your regs with dow 33, and make sure there isnt too much on them.

lube your rammer with light gun oil

then i used these settings

LPR 1 turn past flush
dwell at 9.5 stock 10 tadao
then tune the botton reg(hpr) to attain velocity

make sure the ball barrel match is good, altho i used mainly a 693 without too many probs

finally make sure your batt is good.

This is my personal setup, and i am sure many others used different, but it worked for me, on 3 diferent ego5, and an ego6 and a sl66


the effieciency at the higher dwell is still awesome. But i am sure most ego's on that platform came stock with 9.5 dwell anyway.

change the HPR and LPR pistons, basically buy the service pack from PE and replace everything, its a 2 year old or more gun. Give it a treat a reap the bebefits.

that and make sure everyhting is lubed right and tunes right, with a fresh battery.

^^what lovetone said, did that on my 06, plus added bonus of installing the bumpb pistons, was like sex when shooting a string of balls, perfectly straight line

And that was with the stock barrel, no need for paint to bore match

I agree it sounds like it need a service.

My o5 has seen a lot of paint but still shoots within 2-3 fps on good paint

Similar set up to robof9 - Tadao M7 + cure bolt

i may well get it nicly tuned by planet after xmas coz im not overly competant technically
but il get the reg cleaned up see how it goes after that
