A way around

There is an easy way around it, become a platinum member.
Check out the "Platinum Member Classifieds" it is still in the classifieds but 50% dont have UK (or any where else) in the title but they are still there.

I'm with Tom and teamxray on this one.
It's a daft rule and it always goes like this:

Ion for sale........
Put uk in your title dude.......
ok thanks..........
no worries.........
anytime.............
I keep forgetting that rule.......
yeah it's stupid................
but it is a rule.............
true so we will comply with the fascist state.......
Errr oh yeah! anyone wanna buy an ion yet?.......
etc etc etc.............

Someone may tell us to go read a book while they sit there deleting ion threads, but it would be far easier if they vented their "comedic outlet" in other ways, because after all "The Joseph Stalin school of moderating" isn't that funny after all is it?
Instead of deleting threads the mods could just tackle the locations and then their job is done......and then "they" can go read their own books, while the forum ticks along quite happily.

I'm off to bed now and hopefully i'll get out tomorrow in a better mood ............assuming Tom doesn't hog the duvet again

deary me, this has got lots of knickers in twists...

Tackling everyones location would be a much more expansive task than deleting the *few" threads that come up with no UK in the title. Why should we do this? Why can you not add two letters into the title of what you sell instead of 4 or 5 people (mods) making sure that everyone on this site has the correct location? Is it really that much to ask?

i suggest you change the tone of your post to something less aggressive or your going to have 300lbs of dutch meat come crashing down on you...

You are f*cking joking surely? It's clearly not racism/nationalism is it, just common sense.

99% of all items for sale are from UK based sellers, and the odd few sales that aren't always ship to the UK, so what does the rule acheive? Sure it's a tiny thing to have to do, but if it's pointless then it should be done away with.

It's not a case of "most people are from the UK so only we shouldn't have to do it" and more a case of "what's the point in anyone doing it?"

Contradictory maybe, but surely not aggressive?

I don't think the idea of using the system "correctly" is that outlandish/nationalist or racist.

There's a box in the right hand corner that says "Location", fill it in correctly once and the mods can take the rest of the year off.

Simple, logical, easy.
