other bolts

There are other bolts out there too and having just bought an Ego 6 would like to know which is the best ...and why do planet sell two types and describe them both as preventing chops making it hard to decide which is better?

im getting an ego soon and heard that a cure bolt is a major upgrade. is this true? If it is true then how does it improve the ego?

thanks

First there was the Stock bolt, then there was the Nexus Bolt, then there was the Cure Bolt a refinement of the Nexus bolt.

Cure bolt is newest and best, but Nexus is also good

Nexus or cure

Again like many have said on this thread it depends on how your gun is set up as lots of factors change how hard it is on paint ie barrel/paint match, dwell, Hopper speeds ect.

I Just threw a Cure bolt in my 06 Nexus for the NSPL last sunday and only broke one ball in the barrel all day. Not bad as many teams were struggling with breaking paint mainly down to the temp changes on the day! but having used both bolts the Cure deffinatly seems softer on paint than the nexus.

Just my 10p worth. :D

set up to avoid chops

Thanks for that, I wont touch anything on the Ego 6 as it was just serviced at Paris two weeks ago by Planet so it should be sweet for a run out on Sunday's Sup air walkon. I will just turn down the speed on the egg 3 to be on the safe side.
if i get probs then the cure bolt will be on my shopping list next week.

Bolts!

The DART is simillar to the Nexus and it was the first ego upgrade bolt, it does have a flatter face than the Nexus however the Cure has a slope or ramp on the top of the bolt to minimise chops and has o rings to keep the seal when the bolt is closed. I cut an o ing on my cure first time i dry tested it but if you give it a tiny mount of oil around the o rings before you use it then it will be fine. Not sure if its worth the £30 + asking price but i have had no probs so far and breaks have deff been reduced.

As far as i know all the bolts mentioned fit all egos from 05-07 not sure about 08s but i presume they use the same cure bolt as standard.
