Due to the success of the first Super League Paintball series and the overwhelming number of requests for the events to continue through the Winter, the Super League organisers would like to announce dates for some fun and friendly Winter events.
The events will be run as single events - not linked into an overall series - in order to allow teams to keep practising over the Winter and get ready for the start of the 2008 Super League Paintball series in April. There will be four 3-man events from November to February and one 5-man event in March in preparation for the start of SLP 2008.
The dates are as follows:
November 25th - 3 Man
December 16th - 3 Man
January 27th - 3 Man
February 24th - 3 Man
March 30th - 5 Man with £50 prize
Entry will be £5 per player.
Players can come along as complete teams or individually to find a team on the day. Entry will include air to 4500psi. Paint will be available on site from £25 per box or players can bring their own provided it is suitable for tournament level play.
All events will be self-marshal with one ultimate to oversee decisions and there will be a £50 cash prize for the winner of the 5-man pre-series warmup event in March.
All the events are intended as friendly tournies to give teams the chance to keep playing right through the Winter. The events will be played at the North East's showcase Super League venue at Point Blank Paintball Games in Darlington.
