with the current prices of ego 7 being around £450 / £500 why go for a 06 when for a bit more you can get the mowing machine which is the 07. just received mine and the difference between my old 06 and this is mind blowing..
on a very similar note to evo-online, if you dont want to stretch to an 07, seriously consider the (minimal) differences between the 06 and 05 ego's - many people prefer the 05 to the 06. Its still down to personal preference, but just something to consider.
