burst disk

what would cause a 1.7k burst disk to blow as i have never seen this happen and for what reason as i only put the marker on it stand and then it blew ??????? and are they easy to fix

What area of the reg / marker was it on?

was on a impulse/shockteck frame and the disk is opposite the gauge put gun down on stand then it went

i had my micro max reg go al the time. now i sent it back and it was a dodgy reg

yes they are a easy fix you just unscrew the old one and screw in a new one with a little loctite/ptfe they are only a couple 0f £ from places like lips

it (ussually) means it was over presurised, check your regs

Don't forget, that a burst disc, is just a piece of metal.
With tanks being filled and emptied, filled and emptied, they flex and flexing causes weakness in the metal.

So they aren't supposed to last forever.

So if your burst disc has done some work, then it gets a little over pressurised...it could well blow.
