scratches

hi guys

i think the scrathing is caused by the spring. it is bigger one end and if fitted the wrong way round it seems to do this. the tighter end needs to be on the bolt.

cheers roy.

i have made sure it was the right way around because the spring dosnt actualy clip onto the bolt if it wrong. But it still maybe the sping evan though there is no signs of waer anywhere else in the marker.

its no scratching its a gouge, yes many minis get light marking on the bolt, this caused possibly by spring, heave gouge diff storry,

ps if u have heavy gouge on bolt check the bolt guide as well, heavy chaffing/gouge has apeared on both my returned minis, 1st time replaced, second time (, i had enough taken a refund, by the way i origannaly bought 2 minis , 1 of which still perfect to this day (2 months later)

to me this damage is caused by a bad mating fit bolt/bolt guide or possibly the housing

i can garauntee springs were on correctly no grit in lube, lol these were new from factory, yes i had removed bolt before firing to check factory had lubed them, but pop out push back in only

i also have a sort of flat spot / scratch on my bolt but worse is the scratch's to the bottom of the bolt guide , i got my mini 2nd hand so can't really take it back to the shop to get it looked at!
can this damage be fixed or can i just get a new bolt guide from invert and get my self a better bolt???

Is the gun not working right?

IMO there are no better bolts. If you get a different bolt, it will weigh different. You will need a finely sprung spring that matches said bolt weight. Stock spring will not work too good. If you get a different spring and bolt, you will then need to look at turning down the input pressure, and fiddling around with the BIP and dwell.

Ive owned a few minis, and they all have had wear on the bolt and bolt guide without issues. Im not saying yours hasnt got any issues, Im just saying it is fairly normal. A small piece of grit/ mud or whatever lodging under the spring and between the bolt will cause some wear. Also putting the bolt spring on the wrong way round (it only goes on one way) can cause MAJOR gouges in the bolt.

You can probably ask LiPS nicely, and Im sure they will help you out with anything you need.

no the marker works well, seems to shoot spot on even with the marks to the bolt guide, im just fussy i think, i really like my mini and it makes me :( when i strip it down to clean/lube it and see marks and scratchs where is shouldbe shiny and red
ill keep an eye on it i guess, can you bye just the top section of the marker with the bolt guide if it gets really bad and starts to effect the marker????

Yes you can buy all the components separately. If it works though, there really is no need mate, and if you did replace it, it may happen again. Like I say, all my minis have had some wear on the bolt area.

Any problems, you are welcome to PM me mate.
