To be fair he was not fielded every game, and they more than held their own on games without him.
having a player of JBs standard is going to make a difference to any team,im not saying the other guys didnt play well when he wasnt on the field,,but when he was hitting the other teams 40 and tearing down the tape he was doing a lot of damage.

I can't shoot straight

Can't argue with that, just wanted to point out they've been doing well in their own right recently ;)

I enjoyed reffing again, everyone worked their asses off, and we had very few problems (cough cough aside from one), I like this format, the screens are a nice touch, and it was well organised with the numbered pits etc well done wendy & co.

Can I just raise a question though guys?
I don't really understand why teams kept throwing the towel in when the other team were but a metre away from the gate, and about to press the buzzer because...for the sake of 2 seconds it would have taken them to press it, it would mean they would be chronoed, and in several cases (there is only one shot allowed) the team that lost the game were awarded the points because the winning team's gun was hot. If the winning team were wasting the time, then fair enough, but a metre or so from the buzzer is a little silly.
For the sake of 2 or 3 seconds off the clock you could win the point (it happened at least 4 times, and for the amount of times the towel was thrown in, I reckon the game points would have been reversed at least an extra 5/6 times at least, if not more.

There is going to be an issue if certain players mug there oposition 5 or so seconds after the buzzer is sounded for the end of the game!

Well first off, I think the Hurricanes would of done good with out me. But yes I did help and even having me in the pits will help new up and coming players. It took me some time to work this out but paintball is a lot to do with confidence and me just being on the team will help other players pick up there game.
Now I played with the Hurricanes because i wanted to see how they are playing and playing with them helped me see that better than sitting on the side line. I have been working with them for a few weekends now doing drills that i do back home with XSV, so for me it was to help them get better not to win. I will be working with them this weekend and i now know what i want to work on after Sunday.
I hope everyone had a good time...

The Hurricanes are a UKM 5 man Div 1 team anyway
So should have easily held their own in Div 2
Admittedly Junior gave them that little extra edge
but they did not rely on him to play every point
and they certainly won points without him on the field
So I believe the criticism is unwarranted.

Indeed, I can see how that might be a little annoying but, I don't see how that's relevant to what I said?
